Woman’s World
SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs. M. Thorpe leaves Wanganui to-day to take up residence in Wellington. HITHER AND THITHER. N.C.W. Associate Group. The Associate Group of the N.C.W. held its final meeting for the year at the home of Miss V. Craig, Victoria Avenue, when the question of suitable films for children was discussed. It was considered that children’s matinees should have only pictures for children. The president, Mrs. J. Gould, read extracts from a book which dealt with the subject. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. R. Long, who had filled the office of secretary and was leaving Wanganui at the end of the year. Mrs. Gould thanked Miss Craig for the use of the room and thanked members and visitors for attending, also Miss Blackett for her helpful contribution to the discussion. The president wished all the best of holidays. Supper was served.
