NATIONAL SAVINGS
WANGANUI INVESTMENTS Investments for National Savings at the country offices within the Wanganui district for last week were the lowest for some considerable time, but investments in the city area being £9OO in excess of the weekly quota, allowed the district to be credited with a quota success, said Mr. B. E. Williams, district organiser for the Wanganui National Savings Committee. The district is in a very sound position and the achievement of its annual quota for the year ending March 31, 1946, is expected to be announced very shortly. A number of districts in the Dominion have already gained the distinction of having attained their respective annual quotas, and it will be to the credit of investors in the Wanganui district to see that their district is among the leaders. Waitotara received a good lift last week, sufficient to be credited with its weekly quota for some time; but it. still has a tremendous amount of ground to make up to be in the happy position to ensure its annual quota by March 31 next.
