RENNET FOR EXPORT
The New Zealand Co-operative Rennet Co., EH ham, which is building un an export trade in rennet, has reached an agreement with lhe Dairy Board to lake over the whole of the veils produced in New Zealand for the next, two years. The price of the veils used for manufacturing rennet for the requirements o f New Zealand cheese factories will be sid, as fixed, under present regulation-, and for those not required by the cheese industry 9d. It was stated that 400000 to 500,000 more veils were produced in New Zealand than were needed for the cheesemaking industry. Efforts to obtain an export trade had already met with some success, rennet having been exported to South Africa, Australia. Cyprus, East Africa, Palestine and Turkey.
