District Personals
HUNTERVILLE. Rev. A. W. Baxter, who has been attending the General Assembly of the Presoyterian Church in Invercargill, and Mrs. Baxter, who has been staying in Wellington, return to Hunterville this week. Mr. S. B. Abel has returned home after a considerable period in Wanganui Hospital. While he will not be' able to resume his full activities for some time “Chronicle” readers in the district will be pleased to observe that the regular appearance of Hunterville news has been resumed.
Mr. John Dickie has resigned for health reasons from the service of the Hunterville Rabbit Board, after holding the position of inspector for over 20 years. At a special meeting of the board the chairman (Mr. L. E. Weston) referred eulogistically to Mr. Dickie’s faithful service and a resolution of appreciation was placed on record. Mr. Dickie will continue to reside in Hunterville where he has been a very public-spirited citizen.
