SEPTEMBER RETURNS FURTHER DECLINE SHOWN A further decline in the volume of the Dominion’s overseas trade in shown in the figures for September, the total of £lO 855,000 comparing with £12,286,000 in August and £12,602,000 in September, 1944. Imports at £4,933,000 were £386,000 lower than those of August and £665,000 below the figure for September of last year. Exports were also lower, falling from £6,967,000 in August to £5,922,000.
