Servicemen who voted while In uniform during the last election and who since have been discharged from the Armed Forces, but who will not have attained the age of 21 at the time of next general election, will still be entitled to vote, said the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. A. Me Lagan, replying, in the Council to-day, to an inquiry on the point by the Hon. T. Bloodworth (Auckland). Such men, said Mr. McLagan, retained their right to vote. They did not even need to enrol if they intended to vote in their own constituencies, but would have to make application if they intended to exercise their vote in the next election in another constituency.
