WATERSIDER’S DEATH

FELL INTO Hold of a ship (PA.) Dunedin, Nov. 8. A waterside worker, Mr. Peter Whitburn, aged 44. a married man, living at Opoho, was killed instantly to-day when he slipped and fell Into the hold of the overseas freighter Acadia at the Dunedin wharves. As a mark of courtesy towards the deceased the waterslders ceased work during the afternoon.
