BULLS SALE

Dalgety and Company, Limited (inc. in England) report on the fortnightly sale held on Monday last when an offering of approximately 1000 sheep, comprising mainly lambs, and a small yarding of cattle and pigs were submitted to an average attendance of buyers. Sheep sold under a steady demand and late rates were maintained with a total clearance with the exception of a small pen of 4-th ewes at highly satisfactory prices. Butchers operated freely in the fat cattle section and here again values were fully firm on the previous sale. Only a few head store cattle came forward, including a few weaner Jersey heifers and values were on the par with late rates. Pigs met with a fair enquiry although values for weaners were a shade easier.
