AUSTRALIA’S DEBT
INCREASE TO U.S.A, (Reed. 6.30 p.m.) Canberra, Feb. 18. At September 30 Australia’s internal debt was £1,121.000.000 and its external debt £596.000.000, a total of £1.717.000,000. Of tho external debt £554.000,000 is owing to Britain and £42,000,000 to the United States. Australia's debt to Britain was £7,000,000 more at the beginning of tho \var and to the United States £2,000,000 less.
