BADGE TO BE ISSUED

FOR DISCHARGED SOLDIEHS

(P.A.) New Plymouth. Feb. 18. An invalided person badge is now available for issue to members of the armed forces and the Merchant Navy who have been discharged as medically unlit on account of disability attributable to service in the present war. according to advice received from the Minister of Delence, the Hon. F. Jones.

The information was given in reply to a question in Parliament hv Mr. F. L. Frost, M.P. for New Plymouth, who poin'ed out to the Minister that a number of men were suffering annoyance from persons who had sent them anonymous letters and white feathers in the belief that they were avoiding military service.

Mr. Jones, in reply, said the badge was’ now being issued to all who had qualified for it.
