TARANAKI PROSPECTS Racegoers in the Taranaki province will be treated to further racing at the Stratford course to-morrow and Saturday, when the Stratford Racing Club will stage a two-day meeting, in conjunction with the Opunake club. Excellent fields are engaged, and in three events provision has been made for divisions. Betting will be win-and-place. In the main event, the Stratford Cup backers will have form at last Saturdays’ Taranaki meeting to guide them, and probably horses prominent in Full Hand’s Christmas Handicap will be in favour. The meeting will probably attract patrons from Wanganui, for there is a special train at 7.20 a.m., and this will pick up many enthusiasts between Wanganui and Hawera.
