MOST RECENT BALLOT

APPEALS COMING TO HAND “Dozens of appeals lodged on behalf .of farmers called up in the December ballot are coming to hand,” said the secretary-organiser of the Wanganui District Primary Production Council, Mr. A. R. Donaldson, yesterday. Committees of the Primary Production Council were meeting in all parts of the district to compile lists of men for whom appeals should be lodged. Mr. Donaldson added. “If farmers want their appeals heard they must let me have the forms in time to hand over to the Appeal Board.” he said when emphasising the need for a strict adherence to the regulations. The secretary of the Armed Forces Appeal Board in Wanganui, Mr. A. Garry, said a steady flow of appeals from the most recent ballot was being received. “All appeals must reach not later than January 11,” Mr. Garry added.
