WASTE COLLECTION
DLRIE HILL BOY SCOUTS A waste rubber collection was instituted by six of the Durle Hill Boy Scout Troop in their district on Saturday. Although the collection has not yet been finished the response so far has been encouraging. Already 36 tyres, numerous tubes and hot-water bottles, as well as sundry other rubberware, have been collected. It is anticipated that the collection will be finished this week.
These Scouts will conduct a house-to-house canvass for magazines, books, cards or games for the military camp library during the week, and it is hoped that the response will be good. It is expected that in the near future a complete waster paper collection will be organised by the Durie Hill Troop.
