MONEY RAISED IN HASTINGS (P.A.) Hastings, Sept. 28. More than £l3OO has been raised by the Maori people of Hastings and surrounding districts in two months for the Fighting Services’ Appeal. Announcing this, Mr. A. I. Rainbow, chairman of the Hastings Zone Patriotic Committee, said the effort showed the Maori was well able to match the pakeha in patriotism and community enthusiasm, for the sum was raised entirely without European aid.
