REGENT THEATRE

Boston Blackie, that hard-hitting, handsome young rogue who constantly beats the cops to the punch and to the solution of seemingly insoluble crimes, returns to the Regent Theatre to-to-day, in Columbia’s “Confessions of Boston Blackie,” second in the thrilling new series which features Chester Morris in the title role. Harriett Hilliard, the lovely vocalist of radio and stage fame, plays the romantic lead opposite Morris, in her first straight dramatic role. Other members of the top-notch action and comedy act include Richard' Lane, Joan Woodbury and George E. Stone. Edward Dymtryk, one of Hollywood’s finest thrill directors, wielded the megaphone on "Confessions of Boston Blackie.” The associate feature is “Texas Stampede” starring Tom Randell and Charles Starrett.
