VALUES AT FEILDING (P.A.) Feilding, Sept. 25. In spite of atrocious weather there was a fairly good sale of livestock today. Fat sheep barely maintained last week’s level with the smaller entry offered. There was a very small yarding of shore sheep. Dairy cattle sold very well with higher prices. A good clearance of fat cattle was made at average prices. Range of Prices.—Fat wethers, very prime, 41s lOd, prime 37s 7d, light from 27s Id. Fat maiden ewes, very attractive, 34s 6d, good 28s 7d to 30s; prime ewes 26s Id to 26s lOd; good pens 24s 4d to 25s 4d; light prime hoggets 30s. Dairy Cattle: A line of pedigree Holstein springing heifers made £ll 11s to £1 14s; good springing heifers to £ll 15s. Run Cattle: P.A. steers £6 5s to £9 ss; bullocks £9 ss; cows £6 15s; Hereford cows £6 10s.. Fat Cattle: Light prime cows £5 12s 6d to £6 12s 6d; P.A. cows, prime, £8 15s to £lO 7s 6d; prime heifers £7 12s 6d to £8 17s 6d: Hereford bullocks £ll 2s 6d; heifers £9 12s 6d; runners £6 7s; extra good fat runners £8 15s. DAIRY BULL SALE “The Spring National Dairy Bull Sale and Show will be held at Feilding saleyards on Thursday, October 8. This year’s fixture has attracted an entry of 208 pedigree bulls comprising 147 Jerseys, 23 Friesians, 16 Ayrshires and 22 Milking Shorthorns.
