CHILD DROWNED
FELL INTO DEEP DITCH (P.A* Auckland. May 17. Falling into a deep ditch, which had bran dug by military authorities. Warwick Hugh Young, aged five, a son of Mr. L. Young, of Otahuhu, was drowned on Saturday. The hoy and a companion were playing on the edge of the ditch, which contained about six or seven feet, of accumulated storm water, when Young slipped into the ditch.
