TURKEY WOULD FIGHT
DEFENCE WITH HONOUR AND DIGNITY. London, March 18. President Inonu of Turkey said today that Turkey was striving to keep out of the war, but if that became impossible she would defend herself with honour and dignity. He recalled that Turkey had agreements with all the belligerents, and he said that they were being carried cut loyally and without discrimination. “No cloud is visible on our immediate horizon.” he said, “but we must not fail to take all essential precautions.”
