HARD FIGHT AHEAD
PROBLEM FOR DEMOCRACIES MR. NASH’S WARNING New York, March 17. New Zealanders are of one mind about the war, declared Mr. W. Nash in a speech to the League for Industrial Democracy. He appealed for the support of the United States and other democratic countries and Issued a warning that a hard fight was ahead in the Pacific. “For us to lose would be an indictment of humanity and a step back for a century,” he said. “We will not have many men left if we lose the fight, and we will lose unless we get a change of opinion in the United States and other countries that feel we cannot help but win."
