Herbert Hepworth, aged 73, chemist, of Palmerston North, and Julia May Ambury, aged 50, married, of Wellington, were committed for trial on a charge of causing the death of a married woman by an unlawful act, thereby committing manslaughter. They were also charged with attempting to procure a miscarriage in respect of another woman.
