LEADING JOCKEY LOSES HIS LICENCE
D. MUNRO, SYDNEY BETTING TRANSACTION Received Feb. 8, 1.20 a.m, SYDNEY, Feb. 7. The Australian Jockey Club has revoked the licence of the leading jockey Darby Munro as the result of a betting transaction on December 18 which was subject to an exhaustive investigation by stewards. A city businessman had complained to the stewards that he invested 1150 for Munro on Munro’s mount, Cryon, in the Encourage Handicap at Ascot on December 18.
