NO PROTECTION
THOSE PREPARED TO SERVE AS NON-COMBATANTS. [ Per Prees Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. There is no protection under the National Service Emergency Regulations for those stating they are prepared to serve in a non-combatant unit according to Mr. J. L. Stilwell, S.M., chairman of the Wellington Armed Forces Appeal Board. Dismissing the appeal of Stanley Gordon Field, Mr. Stilwell said the board was satisfied the applicant was sincere in his views. The board would recommend his posting to a non-com-batant unit. Field stated he was a member of a sect known as the Exclusive Brethren.
