WAVERLEY Mrs. F. C. bribe, New Plymouth, is visiting Waverley as the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. S. Barrow. Miss Gribben has returned to Waverley after spending the. school vacation in the South Island. Mrs. R. Wilkins and family, who were visiting Feilding, have now returned to Smith Street, Waverley. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Thomas, who were visiting relatives at Nelson, have returned to Waverley. Mrs. P. V. Graves has returned from a holiday at Raumati beach. Mrs. E. Parsons was a recent visitor to New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. E. Worthington, who were holidaying at Palmerston North and Wellington, have returned home. Miss Joyce Sheppard returned to Waverley on Monday from a holiday at Hawera and Eltham. Miss Elspeth McArthur has returned from a holiday at Wellington. Mrs. E. McGregor, who was the guest of Mrs. J. P. Burton, Opunake, for the holidays, has returned to Waverley.

Miss Marjorie Webb has returned to Waverley after spending the school vacation with her parents at Hastings. Miss Vera Dunn is spending a holiday at Waverley as the guest of her sister, Mrs. G. Johnston.

Miss Eva Castle is a Waverley visitor to New Plymouth.

Misses Joyce Luke and Eva Whitehead were visitors to Wanganui during the week. Mesdames J. J. Johnston, A. B. Cunningham, W. R. S. Brewer, P. V. Graves, J. H. Strauchon, J. Gray, A. Morrison, J. P. Duncan, R. Boyn and J. P. Stewart and Miss Cheyne visited Patea as the guests of the Patea Plunket Society for its silver jubilee. I’ATEA Mrs. I. Glenny returned on Wednesday from Tauranga. Mrs. L. Fisher, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Bills, has returned to Auckland. Miss R. Mawhinney, who nas been spending the vacation with her parents, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Hazeltine and family have returned from a holiday in Tauranga. Miss Turner has taken up her duties as probationary assistant at the Patea Public School. Mrs. Mercer, New Plymouth, has been the guest of Mrs. C. Mercer. Mrs. .Edwards, Nelson, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Honeylield, “Egmont View.” Mrs. Ballard arrived on Friday from Paraparaumu, to be the guest of Mrs. Honeyfield, Whenuakura. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Prime are visiting Auckland. Mrs. J. Tairoa is visiting Christchurch. TAIHAPE. Miss P. Olliver and P. Ferguson left yesterday morning for Christchurch, where they will enter the Teachers’ Training College. Miss Nancy Haydon left this morning on her return to the Teachers’ Training College at Christchurch.

Mr. Leslie Palmer has entered the Auckland Teachers’ Training College.
