WAVERLEY. Miss V. Morrison, Hawera, was a visitor to Waverley for a few days. Miss Nolan, Cambridge, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. I. D. Parsons. Mr. R. Duncan was a recent visitor to Waverley as the guest of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Duncan. Miss Couper, Wanganui, was the guest of Mrs. Dobie for the week-end. TAIHAPE Mr. F. Spooner left Taihape on Wednesday to enter the Wanganui Hospital, where he will receive treatment for a fractured ankle. MARTON Sergeant C. J. Blackett, of the Marton Platoon, has joined the Special Force second echelon, and goes into Trentham Camp on Saturday. Mr. E. Livingston, on the mechanical staff of the Rangitikei County Council, and a member of the Marton Old Boys’ Football Club, leaves to-day to join the Hobsonville Air Base ground staff. s Constable C. W. Bowley is at present on annual leave. Constable A. S. Ward, Palmerston North, is relieving at Marton.
