Primary Producers’ Council. Support for the decision of the Wanganui Primary Producers’ Council to go into recess until arrangements are made by the Government for finance to carry on the work was expressed at yesterday's meeting of the Wanganui Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union. It was stated that the council had incurred an ex- ; penditure of £l2 for wmen tne honorary secretary was personally liable. Mr. W. Peat, a member of the council, said that work could not be undertaken until the council had some finance at its disposal. Mr. R. O. Montgomerie said that the Farmers’ Union was prepared to co-operate with the Government to the fullest extent in matters affecting production.
