AITHITY i Witches on broomsticks, ghosts and ' black cal: and pumpkin laces, ana all [the traditional levclry of All-Hallow’s I Eve, will be much in evidence at the | Y.M.C.A.-Y.W.C.A. in Victoria Avenue [to-night, when the monthly social' I function will take Ihc form of a Hal-i ilowe'en party and dance. Much time] ■ and thought has been put into the planning of the evening, and fortunetelling in the witches’ nooks, a cham- : ber of horrors, “dookin’ ” for apples 1 and treacle buns, toasting marshmallows, water-diving, and a real ghost story, are but few of the attrac- j tions being planned. I As Hallowe’en festivities are of Scotch origin, no party on that night . would be complete without a haggis, and the “piping-in” ceremony will be well featured. The evening promises to be one of riotous fun and revelry, < and members and friends of the asso- - ciation, and others interested, are in- < vited to be present. Dancing will con- ■ ■ elude the evening’s programme, and ; members are reminded of the advisability’- of arriving sharp at 8 p.m. for this special function.
