WAVERLEY NOTES
SOCIAL AFTERNOON On Thursday afternoon at the Vicarage. Waverley, Mrs. D. G. Flower and Mrs. P. A. Stanley tendered an afternoon to Miss E. Harman. who is being married this month. On her arrival Ihe guest of honour was presented by Mrs. Flower with a shoulder spray of berries and autumn tinted leaves. A grocery competition held during the afternoon was won by Mrs. J. J. Johnston. Tn presenting Miss Harman with a card table from her married friends. Mrs. Stanley expressed the wish that she would have every happiness in her married life. The guest of honour, in replying, said that she hoped to model her married life on the lives of her friends in whose homes she had seen so much happiness.
The invited guests were: Mesdames Bilton. Brown, F. Cunningham, J. P. Duncan, T. Gibson, W. R. Hunt, J. J. Johnston, Linehan, J. D. Newland. E. R. E. Ross, and Mrs. Loe Honeyfield, who unfortunately was unable to be present.
