YACHT TAKEN

WELLINGTON INCIDENT ; RECO\ EKED UNDAMAGED. I Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON. April 26. Allegedly taken from the Orientai Bay boat harbour on Sunday morning without the owner’s consent, the firstclass keel yacht Viola was recovered later in the day off Seatoun. The yacht was undamaged. It was | seen leaving the boat harbour about 6.30 a.m., on Sunday in charge of two young men. The headsails w ere set, I but the mainsail had not been fully ’ hoisted. Later in the day the crew' of the yacht Queen Charlotte saw the Viola coming through Chaffer’s Pas-! sage, apparently returning from a' cruise outside the heads. Some time j later the yacht went close inshore to I Seatoun and those on board hailed I the occupants of a dinghy, asking to be taken ashore. On landing the\ j disappeared over the hills. Before! leaving the Viola the men had lowered the sails and anchored the yacht, which was towed back to the boat I harbour.
