TENSION INCREASING
JAPANESE AT TIENTSIN ISOLATION OF FOREIGN CONCESSIONS. Received March 4, 1.15 a.m. SHANGHAI, March 3. Tension between the Japanese and the British, French and Americans at Tientsin is increasing. COMPENSATION BY JAPAN
BOMBING AT HONGKONG HONGKONG, March 2. Major-General Tan\ka, the Japanese Chief of Staff, after a discussion regarding the recent Hongkong border bombing incident, has issued a communique stating that Japan will pay a maximum of 20,000 Hongkong dollars as compensation.
