LOWER RATE OFFERED BONDHOLDERS APPEAL IO OTTAWA. EDMONTON, Jjn. 3. Alberta has defaulted on £200,U00 worth of debentures cue oi January 1. Interest offered at 2i per cent, instead of 5 per cent, has not been accepted by the bondholders, who plan to request Ottawa to insist on payment.
