AGREEMENTS INVALID FRESH PROPOSALS SOUGHT FROM PARIS [B, Telegraph—Pres. Association—Copyright] PARIS, Dec. 22. It is officially stated that Italy has informed France that it no longer considers the Laval-Mussolini agreements valid. The Daily Telegraph and Morning Post's Paris correspondent says it is understood that Italy informed France that the Franco-Italian 1935 agreeI ment, determining the Franco-Italian Trontier of Eritrea and Libya and the status of Italian nationals in Tunis, [must be regarded as void since it was ' never ratified. It is believed that Italy suggested that France now submit fresh proposals complying with the London Treaty of 1915, which brought Italy into the war and under which Britain and France agreed that in the event of increased colonial territory in Africa at Germany’s expense, Italy might claim compensation in Eritrea. Somaliland, and Libya.
