ARAMOHO BRANCH
The monthly meeting of the Aramoho branch ot the W.C.T.U. was held on Thursday afternoon last in St. David's Church. The president was in the chair, Mrs. Greig leading the devotions. Apologies were received from Mesdames Tizard, Sleight and Clarke. The temperance fact was given by Mrs. Wellard. Mrs. Greig was appointed cradle roll superintendent pro. tern. It was decided to visit the Jubilee Home on Thursday, May 5. An invitation was received from the Wanganui East branch to attend a social afternoon on May 12. As this was a sealed orders afternoon several members took part. A pianoforte solo given by Mrs. Ansell, and a vocal solo by Mrs. Bish, were both greatly enjoyed. Mrs. Day addressed the gathering, her I heme being, "Friendship." She was listened to with keen interest by all present. Mrs. Gilmour proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker, and this was carried with acclamation.
One new member joined, and was welcomed.
The meeting closed with the Benediction, and afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Wallard and Suddaby.
