LABOUR PARTY
NOTHING FOR EMPLOYERS BEST DEFENCE IS ATTACK MAY ADOPT POLITICAL ASPECT "To employers the Labour Government has nothing to offer except high and still higher taxation and more restrictions in the conduct o£ business, ’ stated the annual report adopted at last night's annual meeting o£ the Wanganui Employers’ Association. "So serious is the trend of events industrially that the time may arrive, and sooner possibly than expected, when our own organisation may be forced to adopt a political policy in defence of the interests of employers. At the moment all our organisation can do is to concentrate on holding in the Conciliation Council and the Court of Arbitration what they already have. The best form of defence is attack and sooner or later that, attack may have to be made through party politics."
