DOMINION WRESTLERS

DENIAL OF DISSENSION THE EMPIRE GAMES TEAM Reports of disaffecting influence among members of the New Zealand Empire Games wrestling team were denied by the manager, Mr. J. Creeke, on his return from Sydney by the Wanganella on Wednesday. There was no lack of harmony among members of the team, said Mr. Creeke, nor between the team and himself. Nor was there any complaint about living quarters or training conditions. The Police Department placed its gymnasium at the disposal of the team and in fact was extremely good to the team throughout its stay. The New' Zealand team was up against strong opposition from other Empire countries, said Mr. Creeke, but apart from that the conditions under which contests were held upset the team considerably. They were not accustomed to rolling falls or flying falls and the one-fall decision had an unsettling effect on wrestlers who were used to the two falls out of three system.
