The increase in membership has been reflected in the bal-ance-sheet which shows a credit of £l5 over expenditure. The dance which was held in May was a social success and a profit of £8 13s 3d was made. The usual inter-club matches were played during the season and were keenly contested and enjoyed by members. The thanks of the club are due to Mr A. Illston and Mr D. Bartlett for the use of their properties. PERSONAL Alter ten years as president of the Hunterville Football Club, Mr L. K. G. Bull intends retiring from office this year. At last year's annual meeting, much against his wish, Mr Bull was prevailed upon to continue as president and he did this stating that he would definitely make it his last year. With the annual meeting to be held shortly many members were hoping that he would still be willing to "carry on,” but this year Mr Bull is 1 quite definite about his retirement, , and although he will still be a keen follower of the game he cannot see his way clear to undertake the duties of ' president. Friends in Hunterville will receive with pleasure the news that Mrs A. C. Swainson is progressing satisfactorily after undergoing an operation at Palmerston North. Miss Livingston, of Hunterville, has been visiting Wanganui, where she was the guest of her sister, Mrs (Dr.) Howard Christie. G ENERAL Local school pupils who competed at the Rangitikei school sports did not meet with any great success this year, and Hunterville was last on the points ladder. Fairbrother) gained first place. The boys' senior long jump was won by T. Potaka, and Gibbs ran second in the 9-year boys’ 50 yards. TENNIS Last.
