TRIBUTE TO JEAN BATTEN Received Nov. 24, 11.55 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 24. “Our modern Brunhilde,” was the epithet Lora Londonderry applied to Miss Jean Batten at the annual banquet of the City Livery Club, at which she was a guest. He added: “Her splendid achievements are indelibly and eternally written on all the records of aviation.”
