POSTAL DELIVERIES
LABOUR DAY ARRANGEMENTS On Saturday, October 23, registered and ordinary correspondence usually delivered by post, will be available at the inquiry window of the post man’s branch, Ridgway Street, between 7 and 8 p.m. On Labour Day the post office will be closed in all branches, and mails from the principal offices throughout the Dominion which usually close after 8 p.m. will close at 7.30 a.m. No delivery of correspondence will be made by postmen or rural mail contractors. The usual midnight clearance of mail receivers will be made on Sunday, October 24. In the telegraph branch the hours of attendance will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight.
