INTOXICATED DRIVERS
SALESMAN FINED. [ Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Oct. 18. Pleading guilty io being intoxicated while in charge of a car, John Burn, salesman, aged 42, was lined 115 in the Magistrate's Court to-day and his licence was suspended for six months. YOUNG MAN’S OFFENCE. [Per Press Association. | CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 18. James Clifford Diedrich, aged 20, was lined £l5 and costs for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. His licence was cancelled for 12 months. A traiiic inspector said that he overhauled Diedrich doing 45 miles an hour. He admitted having had three beers and lurched when he got out of the car.
