“I HOPE THIS AWFUL WEATHER DOES NOT LAST MUCH LONGER,” SAYS “DOROTHY DIMPLE."

Dear Wendy, Knock' Knock! Who’s there? It is only “Dorothy Dimple.” We held a diamond jubilee at the Mt. View School. It commenced at 1 o’clock. Well, we had “Pond Lily” home on Sunday afternoon and she will be home again on Thursday afternoon. It has been very bad weather lately. It was fairly fine to-day. I hope this awful weather does not last much longer. It keeps coming in showers and then goes away again. I think it will be an early summer this time. I hope it is not very wet during the summer. I think “Pond Lily” is too fond of falling in the mud. She fell in it again on Sunday and heaved another big sigh. She did not get dirty, though. At least I don’t think she did. We started school again on Monday. We had only a week’s holiday this time. Well, I must close now, Wendy dear. Love.—From “Dorothy Dimple,” Marton. Better days will soon be with us now, dear. Even if it is cold one does not mind so much if it does not rain. What a wonderful time youemust hav spent at the Jubilee. Oh. clear, so our “Pond Lily” fell into the mud again!—Wendy.
