MELVILLE—McDOUGAL A very quiet wedding took place on Friday, June 4, when Doris Elma, second daughter ot Mrs McDougal and the late Mr G. A. McDougal, of Wanganui, married Samuel Torry, second son of Mrs Melville and the late Mr Alexander Doughty Melville, of “Dunard,” Fordell. 'me Rev. A. C. McLean, M.A., officiated at the ceremony, which was held at the homo of the bride’s mother, Parsons Street, St. John’s Hill. Beige pink lace with brown satin trimmings fashioned the bride’s beautiful gown, and she held a bouquet of pink-snaded roses, freesias ana enrysanthemums. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr G. A; McDougal, and her sister, Miss Agnes McDougal, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of brown lace over pink satin, with velvet toque and eye-veil to match. Mr J. Hessell, of Eltham, was best man. Only relatives and close friends were present at the wedding.
