EVIDENCE AT INQUEST I Per Press Association] TAUMARUNUI, Nov. 23. An inquest on Herbert Kenneth Harre, aged 46, married man, who fell from the Wellington-Auckland express and was killed, was held here. Ernest Arthur Rupert Jones, solicitor, Wellington, gave evidence that deceased had been in ill-health for the past six months and had suffered from fainting turns. Norma Harriet Harre, wife of deceased, said that her husband did not sleep well. She and her husband had a sleeping berth on the train. Deceased took his usual dose of medicine at 9.30 o’clock and witness thought he went off to sleep quietly. She awoke at 4.30 o'clock and found h'm missing. When the train stopped at Frankton she informed the attendant that her husband was missing. During the past two or three weeks her husband had taken bad turns. The coroner said that the police had not yet completed their inquiries. The inquest was adjourned.
