DISTRIBUTION OF MILK
NATIONAL SCHEME FOR THE SCHOOLS fPer press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 23. An announcement that it was hoper to have a national scheme for the distribution of milk to school children ir operation at the beginning of the school year in February, was made to-night, by the Minister of Education, Hon. P. Fraser, replying to r deputation representing the Dominion Federation of School Committees. Remits passed by the annual conference of the federation held in Dunedin last August were submitted tc the Minister, who explained that ’.he Health Department was now working on the details of the mdk distribution scheme. It seemed that in the initial stages each district would have 1c work the scheme through its own form of organisation.
