LONDON HOSPITALS
NEW ZEALANDER'S MEDICAL WORK [Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. After two years’ sojourn at Home, Dr. D. E. Platts Mills, of Wellington, returned to the Dominion this morning by the Ruahine, accompanied by her daughter, Dr. Adah Platts Mills, who for the last five years has been practising medicine in London. Dr. Adah Platts Mills has had considerable experience in the big London hospitals, including ten months at Balham Hospital, where she was engaged in all branches of clinical work. She was also medical resident officer at Woolwich Hospital for a period. She is particularly interested in the panel system, which she considers is excellent. “For very poor people,” she said, “it is marvellous, but I think the standard of treatment could be raised with advantage.”
