St. Mary’s Dramatic Club. Under the direction of Miss Victoria Ruscoe, St. Mary’s Dramatic Club will present three one-act plays in St. Joseph’s Schoolroom, Wicksteed Street, this evening ftt 8 o'clock. Turakina “Paddy’s Market.” The united effort of the Women’s ; Institute and the Women’s Division for the Country Queen in the Health Camp Campaign was held on November 14, and proved quite a successful function, and the amount raised will help to swell the funds considerably. The competitions were won as follows: Turkey, Mr Wischnowsky; cake, Mr Major; spray, Mrs R. Glasgow. Card Evening. The C.G.C. held a progressive “500" on Thursday evening last in the W.D.F.U. Rooms, which proved to be a huge success. The prize-winners were as follows: Most games (ladies), Mrs Rosaman; men, Mr Stringer; runners-up, Mrs Rowen, Mrs Wood; least games, Mrs Allen, Mr Harper; special, Mr Webb. A “New Deal’’ for Domestics. A proposal for a "New Deal" for domestic servants has arrived at the Social Department of the Norwegian Government. It has been drafted by a domestic servant who has the position of consultant on domestic problems in the Oslo Women’s Council. Her proposal has the folowing points: For each public holiday there should be a special written agreement between mistress and maid regarding the amount of work to be done on that, day, the agreement to be signed by both parties. The working day should not exceed ten hours exclusive of meals. Work over that time would be overtime and paid accordingly. The working hours should lie between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. They may be continuous or broken as suits the household. After six months’ service a servant is entitled to a week’s holiday with full board wages; after one year to a fortnight’s holiday. Harrier Dance. Arranged by the Harrier Club the dance hold in the Peter Pan Hall on Saturday was most successful. The Soprani Serenaders played popular airs, and with novelty dances added to the programme, the dancers spent a pleasant evening. Mr E. Gowan carried out the duties of M.C. The winners of the Monte Carlos were Miss S. Moore and Mr G. Harrison; Mr and Mrs B. Trott, Miss Sundborn and Mr J. Lonegran. Among those present were: Misses H.
