WANGAEHU BRANCH Mrs. Anderson, president, presided at the monthly meeting of the Wangaehu branch of the W.D.F.U., which was held on November 19. Members present were Mosdames W. Baldwin, C. Connors, Grant, Humphries, Honeyman, Holmes, Jones, Liggins, Mackintosh, O’Leary, Peffers and the Misses Bignell and Tizard. Apologies were received from Mesdames C. Baldwin, A. Olsen, and Misses Castles and Baker. It was decided to abandon meetings dtfring December and January, and to hold the next •meeting on the fourth Thursday in February, when the dahlia show for members will be held the prizes being kindly donated by Mrs. C. Baldwin for three best blooms. Hostesses will be Mosdames W. Baldwin, and Misses A. Castles and A. Cameron. There will he various games and competitions for young and old. The Wanganui Highland Pipe Band will be present. Should the weather be unfavourable a "Paddy’s Market” will be held in the Wangaehu Hall. After a dainty afternoon tea dispensed by the hostesses, Mosdames Humphries and Jones and Miss Bignell, the meeting closed.
