Hcan, Lower Hull. Miss R. Johnston, Marlon, nas been visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs W. R. Anderson, Taihape, were week-end visitors to Wellington. * * * * Miss C. D. Ross, Wanganui, was ir Wellington during the wek-end.s Mrs E. M. Silk is a Wanganui visitor to Auckland and is staying at Kawau Island. Miss Sadie Paul, Riverlands, is spending a week in Wellington, and will later visit friends in Hawke’s Miss Freda Horn, the New Zealand missionary, is on a year’s furlough from Abysinia, and is at present staying in Palmerston North. Friends of Mr and Mrs F. T. Denton will be interested to learn that they have returned to Wanganui, and have taken up residence in their old home in Liverpool Street. Mr and Mrs Denton have been living in Oamaru and Ashburton for the last few years. Making her first visit to New Zealand is Mrs Alec-Tweedie, of London, a well-known authoress, traveller, and artist, who arrived- by the Strathnaver. During the Great War she entertained and assisted many New Zealand and Australian soldiers. She takes a keen interest in women’s organisations, and is vice-president of several societies in England.
