HAWKE'S BAY REMIT [Per Press Association? DANNEVIRKE, Oct. 16. A remit to be forwarded to the Farmers’ Union Dominion Executive by the Southern Hawke's Bay branch is to the effect that owing to the difficulty in procuring labour for casual farm work the Minister of Public Works be asked to consider releasing men on Public Works if a farmer made application to the officer in charge. Regarding the question of wether a large portion of the Women’s Division funds were devoted to political party purposes, the chairman of the branch said that no Rinds of either the Farmers’ Union of the Women’s Division were devoted to political party purposes.
