♦ WANGANUI CLUB LAST HANDICAP RUN. RACE FOR HOPPEPv CUP. ! The Wanganui Harrier Club's final i handicap run of the season was held I from the Intermediate School on Saturday afternoon. The race was for I a cup donated by Mr. N. Hopper and i was competed for by a field of 15 runners. I Good form was revealed by mem- ’ bers of the two teams selected to rel present the club in the Marton-Wan-iganui road relay race on Labour Day. H. from Wangaehu to Wanganui a fortnight ago it now transpires that J. Carr, of the Wanganui Club, finished in tenth position, but owing to a misunderstanding he was not clocked in. His time was approximately 51min. 6sec. for the journey, and this figure would give him ninth fastest time.
