BOXING
WANGANUI ASSOCIATION BOUT NEXT SATURDAY RALPH AITKEN AND HENRY DUNN The Wanganui Boxing Association, having made a good start with the Rayner-Hall contest, is to stage another highly-attractive programme at the Opera House on Saturday night. Principal interest will attach to a professional bout between Ralph Aitken (Wellington) and Henry Dunn (Petone), two of the Dominion’s leading lightweights, who are to meet over ten three-minute rounds. It will be a return bout between the pair, their first engagement having been won narrowly by Dunn after a fast and exciting display in which both I boys showed that they were willing to • fight all the way and also displayed considerable skill. Another professional bout will be that between Barney Downes, of W'anganui, a “knock-out” artist and Allan Parker, of Manawatu, who should provide a splendid bout of | eight three-minute rounds. Parker | has beaten some of the best welterweights, ha\ ing a decision over Mark i Candy. I . ——
