Lady Jellicoe Club. There were a large number of visitors at the “guest” night bridge party held by the Bridge Circle of the Lady Jellicoe Club on Tuesday. The club room was made cosy with a large log fire, and vases of iceland poppies added to the bright effect. Members and guests spent an enjoyable few hours and the bridge prizes were won bv Miss Howie and Miss Grant.

Palais de Danse. A most enjoyable time was spent by the host of dancers who attended the Palais de Danse on Saturday evening. A splendid dance programme of modern and old-time numbers included Monte Carlos, which were won by Miss Gordon and Mr. Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe, Mr. and Mrs. Dow, Miss Richmond and Mr. Jones, Miss Rayinmond and Mr. Scott, Miss Bryson and Mr. McKenzie. A ballet, presented by Miss Eva Matthews, was well received. The excellent dance floor and the musical selections played by the orchestra were very much appreciated.
